Patty Eitemiller

Patricia "Patty" Eitemiller is currently an Early Childhood Professional and Trainer for the City of Alexandria's Early Childhood Division.  Prior to entering this role 4+ years ago, she spent over 15 years as a developmental therapist for the Infant & Toddler Connection of Alexandria (VA)'s Parent Infant Education program participated in several initial assessment teams, developed IFSP’s, worked with children and families providing developmental services, conducted initial intake interviews and screenings, and provided service coordination.  She is passionate about Early Intervention, learning the stories about the families and children she's met and worked with over the span of her career that allowed her to continually expand her knowledge in this field through the many interactions and experiences her career has provided. She uses the vast amount of experiences and interactions to enhance the trainings and professional development activities that she provides. Patty is a certified trainer of the Zero to Three “The Growing Brain” curriculum; the Ages and Stages (ASQ-3) and the Ages & Stages: Social Emotional (ASQ:SE-2) Questionnaires; and the Children’s Trust Alliance Protective Factors.  Most recently she also completed the Train the Trainer for the STREAMin3 curriculum, now being implemented in many childcare programs across the Commonwealth of Virginia. In her spare time, Patty enjoys traveling the world particularly the joy of meeting new people along the way, practicing yoga, and has a side job working at a winery in Northern Virginia on the weekends all of which provide a balance to her professional life.
